CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES

Fully Loaded Electronics supplies video game systems and security options for use in jails, youth intervention centers, and other correctional settings. All of our games are rated E for Everyone - no violent or offensive games are included in our main game bundles.

Video games in your correctional facility or rehabilitation center can provide amazing social positives to your staff and occupants. In a time where social distancing is the new norm, handheld and cart-mounted video games can help your occupants pass the time without having to closely interact with each other to limit the spread of disease. We are now supplying Nintendo Switches and Switch Lites with Wi-fi capabilities completely removed! With our Switches, you won't have to worry about players having access to internet.

WHY PROVIDE VIDEO GAMES AT YOUR CORRECTIONS FACILITY?

About 3 in 4 of all adults play video games of some kind, and the average person who does game spends about 8 hours per week playing. Residents at correctional facilities have an abundance of time to spend on activities, therapy, and work – but if left unchecked, a lot of this time can turn into unhealthy behavior resulting in recidivism. Through our gaming programs at correctional facilities, we’ve found that when given the opportunity, inmates will spend hundreds of hours per month playing video games. Focusing on building virtual worlds, completing in-game quests, and creating their own stories inside these games encourages positive behavior and reduces stress and impulsiveness.

WHO PROVIDES VIDEO GAME SYSTEMS TO INMATES AND CORRECTIONS?

Fully Loaded Electronics mainly specializes in preparing video game consoles to be used in public spaces like children’s hospitals and clinical offices, which includes managing internet settings on these consoles. However, we found that correctional facilities also had aging, outdated gaming consoles that needed replacing – but modern consoles’ desire to always be connected to the internet makes it difficult for them to make sense in a correctional environment where internet access is restricted. FLE is currently the only company that is able to remove Wi-Fi capabilities from these consoles via hardware manipulation – that means there’s absolutely no way the internet can connect to these gaming systems, and they’re still fully functional. This allows correctional staff to comfortably provide these gaming systems for their residents without worry.

WHAT GAMING SYSTEMS ARE PROVIDED ARE PROVIDED BY FULLY LOADED ELECTRONICS?

We provide hardware-altered Nintendo Switch Lite and Xbox One S gaming consoles to corrections facilities. These systems have no internet access or ability to communicate with each other. The Nintendo Switch Lite is a portable handheld all-in-one gaming system that plays most modern games including the popular Mario and Zelda titles. The Xbox One S is a traditional gaming system that comes with a wired controller and plugs into a HDTV to play all modern game releases. All games are downloaded directly to the system itself, so there’s no need for game cartridges or discs.

WHERE DO WE PROVIDE GAMING SYSTEMS?

We provide gaming systems to all kinds of correctional facilities – jails, prisons, juvenile detention centers, psychiatric hospitals, civil corrections centers, and anywhere else residents may need to spend their time doing something to alleviate boredom and idleness. Ask us about our programs in New Hampshire, Oregon, Florida, and Iowa!

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

Once you’ve decided on which gaming system fits your program the best, the ordering process is simple. We have order forms that residents can fill out with the games that they want from our curated game lists. If you prefer to only offer select games and have a more consistent product, we can provide consoles with bundles of games that you choose and residents can purchase the one that works for them. Send in those forms with the preferred method of payment. Then, we’ll load each system with the games requested and send them back ready to play! We provide warranties and tech support for our products, so if there’s ever a question after receipt you’re welcome to call us.

Hospital Testimonial on the Benefits of Virtual Reality

Mar 08, 2021 Rachelle Lee

We can go on and on about how fun these systems are, but at the end of the day, in the hospital setting they are used to make patient care a little easier on both the patient and the provider. If you’re hesitant about adding VR to your hospital for any reason, consider what Brittany had to say about her experience with Fully Loaded – “We are so fortunate at TBRHSC to have been able to work with FLE and help to facilitate a more positive experience for children and families in hospital! The set-up, communication, and support from FLE in implementing these systems has been outstanding!”

Providing Friendly Competition with the Arcade Cart

Feb 24, 2021 James Lee

Healthy competition can help develop important personal skills like resilience, perseverance, and tenacity as well as social skills like taking turns, encouraging others, and developing empathy. Competition while incarcerated during a pandemic can be tricky. With athletic events being cancelled and postponed, many people are itching for the mental stimulation that competition brings.  We can help. While our solution won't get them on the field or in the driver's seat of a formula one race car, it will provide some much-needed mental stimulation and entertainment.  If you have a question about how video games and correctional facilities go together, let's chat. We would be happy to share with you the experience of other facilities who are using these programs and having fantastic success.
